5 Days Tour From Fes To Marrakech

We will pick you up from your hotel in Fes or the airport on the first day of our 5-day tour from Fes to Marrakech. Start a memorable desert trip from Fes to Merzouga, moving through many fantastic spots along the road. We depart from Fes to the southeast.

Drive through the heart of the Middle Atlas Mountains to Ifrane, known as Morocco's Switzerland due to its resemblance to a Swiss ski resort. Head to the largest cedar forest in North Africa, which is also land for Barbarian monkeys. We keep heading south, passing through authentic Berber villages and countryside.

We will see nomadic shepherds with their flocks dispersed across the landscape. We will stop for lunch in Midelt in the middle of the journey. We will stop again in the lovely Ziz Valley to enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the oasis scenery. This Valley is the second-longest river in Morocco, with palm trees and mud villages.

We arrive in Erfoud, famous for its annual dates market. Following that, we'll drive to the Merzouga Desert. When we arrive in the Merzouga Desert, we will meet the camel guide and ride camels through the dunes. You'll stop in the middle of the dunes to admire the sunset and take pictures. Just after that, you will ride the camels to the camp.

When you arrive at the campsite, our staff will greet you and show you your tent, where you will spend the night. Around the campfire, you will eat dinner and listen to some local Berber songs. You can rise to the dunes and gaze at a sky full of stars. You will spend the first night of the 5 Days Desert tour from Fes to Marrakech at the camp.

The second day of our Fes to Marrakech 5-day tour will be exploring the desert neighborhoods. First, we will start our desert trip by visiting the Emirati-owned National Auto Museum. In this location, we will see a variety of old 4x4 cars.

We'll go to Khamlia, a small Berber Gnawa village. You will listen to their music and observe their peculiar dance moves. We will explore their way of life and traditions. Following that, we will move to learn about another way of life, that of Berber nomads. They continue to live in Berber tents in the desert.

We'll stay in their tents and learn more about their lifestyle and traditions. Some families have one husband and two wives, while others include more than seven people. Their essential source of income is herding goats and sheep, which they sell in nearby regions such as Rissani and Erfoud. The main characteristic that distinguishes the nomads is their hospitality, generosity, and kindness.

After a calm stay with nomads, we will depart for "Galb El Nas," one of Merzouga's perfect great views of the desert. In English, it means "people's heart." We'll also visit Mifiss to explore its kohl mine. It used to produce a million kilograms of mine.

We will make numerous panoramic stops to enjoy various views of the Sahara Desert. Lastly, we will come back to your hotel and unwind. You will have an evening free in Merzouga.

Leave Merzouga Desert after breakfast in the direction of Boumalne, in the middle of the road connecting Merzouga Desert and Marrakech. We will drive west through Rissani.

Historically, Rissani was a center stop for trade caravans crossing from Morocco to nearby countries. If it is by chance day market is held every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, we will visit the biggest market in the region.

After that, we'll head to Erfoud, famous for its fossils. We drive through the Atlas Mountains and towns to the Valley of Todra, a lush green valley encircled by ancient mud villages. We'll have lunch.

Then, after about 15 kilometers, we arrive at Todra Gorges. It's time to enjoy a 300-meter-high corridor with vertical cliffs and water flowing from natural springs. The Todra Gorges are the highest and most narrow in Morocco and are well-known among rock climbers.
