Day Trip From Marrakech To Ouarzazate And Ait Ben Haddou

The most stunning and well-preserved Kasbah in Morocco is Ait Ben Haddou, which is more of a group of smaller Kasbahs. The fortified hilltop village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was on the ancient caravan between Marrakech and the Sahara in the 14th century. Many movies have included the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, and a brand-new community has sprung up around it.

We will leave Marrakech around 09:00 a.m. to begin our day trip to Ait Ben Haddou. Travel through the High Atlas River Valley on the Tizi N’tichka pass road, the tallest mountains in North Africa.

The Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah looks particularly lovely at sunrise and sunset because of the atmosphere of the place. You can ascend to the fortified granary ruins for breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and take a quick stroll through the village and along the river.

Then, proceed to Ouarzazate, the southern gateway to the Sahara and epicenter of Sahara desert tourism. Here, we will visit the Taourirt Kasbah, a magnificent structure to see inside a genuine Kasbah and take in Moroccan architecture. The entrance fee is 2 Euros per person. At last, we will get back to Marrakech in the late afternoon. We end our day trip from Marrakech to Ouarzazate and Ait Ben Haddou.
